The day Ellie layed eyes on Frank's photo when it popped up on Chihuahua Rescue, it was all over. 

 

The day Ellie laid eyes on Frank's photo on Chihuahua Rescue's website, she knew it was all over. She immediately embarked on a mission to convince her husband Brett and her parents to adopt this adorable dog. Despite numerous "NO's" and many exclamations of "A CHI-HUA-HUA REALLY?", Ellie's determination remained unwavering.

Ellie managed to arrange a visit with the wonderful team behind New Zealand Chihuahua Rescue, who brought Frank (formerly known as Tank) to see how he would get along with the other animals in their home. Frank immediately warmed up to Ellie's father, Rob, seeking cuddles—TICK. With Rob won over, Ellie's mum, a big animal lover, fell for Frank's charming personality instantly. Now, the only hurdle left was Brett.

After the New Zealand Chihuahua Rescue team left, Ellie had a heartfelt conversation with Brett. He was 50/50, which, in typical Gemini fashion, Ellie took as a BIG YES.

Within the next 30 days, Ellie arranged to adopt Frank!

They had preconceptions about Chihuahuas being nippy, bark-a-lot, nervous, and unable to be left alone. But Frank proved to be different. He's the most chilled-out Chihuahua you will ever meet. He enjoys his alone time, loves cuddles (in fact, he demands them), learns new tricks quickly, and has become the absolute light of their lives.

Brett has fallen for Frank and is now an avid Chihuahua supporter, even agreeing to having more in the future!
